Tito Jackson
I woke up this morning to a text message I received overnight from my daughter. Once again, she delivered the sad news of another artist we all grew up with passing away. This time, it was Tito Jackson, Michael Jackson’s older brother. Tito was 70 years old, just shy of 71.
He had a major heart attack while driving his car. I saw a picture of him on Facebook last week and thought to myself, He doesn’t look good. He looked sick to me, but I didn’t think it was that serious!
Though we use the term “heart attack,” to describe a cardiac event. The reality is that we attack our hearts. Our hearts do not attack us. Like many other terms. I believe we use the term “heart attack” because we don’t want to accept responsibility for what we do to hearts, and to ourselves physically and emotionally. It is easier to blame our heart, and our bodies for our illness and, or our death. But the reality is, we are in control of our bodies. And most of our choices determine how our body will respond.
My dad’s massive heart attack in 1988 was downstream from diabetes, which was downstream from scleroderma, which was downstream from apple pie à la mode, cakes, late-night snacks, and more, all downstream from emotional stress and other factors.
Our bodies are not all that we have, but they are the coolest way to experience planet Earth. My hope for humanity is that we see our bodies as the unbelievable creation and wonder that they are, and treat them as such. Give your body love, cherish it, support it, believe in it, and make it the number one priority in your life.
If we don’t, it’s okay. We still have our never-dying conscious energy/spirit. That’s all we truly have, and we don't need anything more.
Physical life is a choice. If you choose physical life, focus on your body. It knows this planet much better than you do.
Tito,
We will always thank you and your family for the awesome music, the bombs you guys and Motown dropped! Until it’s my turn, enjoy being fully back in spirit and energy.
P.S.
I'm going to put this out here right now, because I always tell my children this.
If you get an email from my family one day, or read a post stating that I suddenly and unexceptionally passed away, just know that I messed up! I did something wrong or I simply made a choice to no longer want to be here. I've taken full control and responsibility for my life, and my health.
So anything that happens to me will be of my doing. Either by conscious decisions, or unconscious decisions. My goal is to be as conscious as I can possibly be, waking up was the first step, and that's only been two years!
I have a lot more to learn, and practice...
What are your thoughts? Let me know.
Right on! Various statistics can be found on nature vs nurture. Some credit how you care for your body & mind with 90% of the outcome! Other give it as only 51%. But I definitely believe that we have some control in our outcome AND can change our path.
Hey there Ruth,
Thanks for your feedback. I’m one of the people that believe’s caring for your body is 90% of the cure. It’s clear to me that surgeries and drugs have a place in extreme situations when a body is so extreme one way, extreme measures most counter it, and while at the same time, supporting the body “whollistically.” We have more control over everything around us and on earth than we believe.
I always love hearing from you my dear!! 🩷
