This time of year can be hard on those of us who have lost loved ones. I often think of my dad, my brother, my grandparents and so many others.
I believe the best thing we can do is keep their memories alive. I find talking about them helps. The holidays are a time to relax and enjoy. But give out loved ones who have gone on a thought ever now and then.

Like everyone I have many childhood Christmas memories. Having the family Christmas party at our house. Seeing cousins I haven’t seen all year. Wondering if my favorite Uncle was going to surprise us from out of town. The party always ending with my Dad playing the piano and everyone singing and laughing.
Most of them are gone now and since there were no video cameras or phones that record, all there is are memories to share with the younger generations and watching them carry the torch onward.

Thanks for sharing. I really wish we had video back in those days. Imagine, being able to see our loved ones on video back in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. I made it a point to buy a camcorder in 1989 so I could video record, my children and family. I’m so happy I did. I have 33yrs of family on video, many of who have passed away now. Always, ALWAYS good hearing from you buddy!
