Go to Bed!

Why is it so hard for us to simply go to bed and get eight hours of sleep? Our generation grew up when television was just getting started, and if your family was like mine. Going to bed with the television on was a way of life. It wasn’t until I learned what was happening in my body that forced me to “go to bed” and get eight hours of sleep every night.
I’ve asked health coach Christina Wakefield to be my special guest on this live stream. Christina works at Parsely Health, a membership-based, holistic health, functional medicine healthcare provider.
There is a never-ending list of the benefits of sleep, and while those things are important, I felt it was urgent to tell you how stress affects our sleep, but even more important than that, what the body is doing internally during bedtime! Christina will cover the following topics:
- Stress’s impact on sleep
- What’s going on inside the body during sleep
- Sleep Cycles and improving different stages
- Best practices/hygiene for quality sleep
- Waking up throughout the night
- Wind-down routines
