The Interceptor!

The Interceptor was one of my favorite rockets when I was a child, and it continues to be one of my favorites, I think it's because it's so simple to build, but the design is so "StarTrek" looking. I initally got the Interceptor as a child back in 1974.

I was so excited when my dad gave the rocket to me. At skill level 3, the build was challenging. But I got it built, painted, and then put the decals on! I was not very good at putting on decals when I was a child. If you look closely at these pictures, you'll see I'm still not, LOL!

The crazy part of the original Interceptor from back in 74', On its maiden flight. The rocket shot up about 500ft, the parachute deployed, and it sailed into a tree so large that there was no way for me to retrieve it. I think that's the reason I added it back into my collection!
